A consecuencia de la reforma de la red mundial de Institutos Goethe se convirti\u00f3 en el a\u00f1o 1994 en un centro examinador. Desde un principio el Instituto Goethe estaba ubicado en el Colegio Alem\u00e1n de Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Los cursos de alem\u00e1n y los ex\u00e1menes oficiales de Alemania contin\u00faan realiz\u00e1ndose en el mismo sitio.
